Respected Author And Leader In Family And Bankruptcy Law

Attorney Stan Weller, founder of The Weller Law Firm, practices primarily in the areas of family law, bankruptcy, wills and civil litigation. His family law practice includes issues in; divorce, custody, visitation, child support, protective orders, adoption and all other family related matters. He is qualified as a guardian ad litem, mediator and arbitrator.

Attorney Stan Weller established the Weller Law Firm in 2006 after working in private firms and in the Illinois Attorney General’s office prosecuting the most violent of sexual offenders.

In addition to more than 19 years of legal experience, our founding attorney is a published author. He shares his invaluable insight on child custody cases in an informative book called, “Preparing for a Child Custody Trial: What You Need to Know.” Written in a language that is accessible to all, the book guides readers through the steps of a case, helps prepare for trial and explains the importance of certain evidence.

As an experienced family law attorney, he also wrote a book aimed at helping other divorce lawyers, titled “Marital Settlement and Joint Parenting Agreements Line by Line.” This book has been used across the nation by attorneys preparing comprehensive orders and settlements for their own clients.

Our firm is also highly qualified to provide bankruptcy representation. Attorney Stan Weller is a founding member of the Bankruptcy Association of Southern Illinois (BASIL) and a presenter at the annual conference. He also contributed to the nationally released book “Understanding the Effects of BAPCPA” publication for bankruptcy practitioners discussing the effects and transitions arising from the 2005 changes to the Bankruptcy Code.

Meet Kaitlyn Rausch

Attorney Kaitlyn Rausch Crossen, an Associate at The Weller Law Firm, practices primarily in the areas of family law including issues in; divorce, custody, visitation, child support, protective orders and adoption.  She also handles landlord-tenant law and general civil litigation.  She is qualified as a guardian ad litem and as a mediator.

Throughout her career, Kaitlyn Rausch Crossen has been a strong advocate for justice and equality, whether working at a non-profit in Missouri representing individuals with disabilities, or practicing in private firms in Illinois.  She is also a LGBTQ friendly attorney.

Kaitlyn Rausch Crossen is a graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with Bachelor of Science in psychology. She obtained her Juris Doctorate, with a concentration in Civil Litigation, from St. Louis University School of Law in 2014. She is licensed to practice law in both Illinois and Missouri State courts as well as Federally in the Southern District of Illinois and the Eastern District of Missouri.
