Attorney Geric L. Tipsword brings a varied background to our firm.  He is a Desert Storm veteran who honorably served his country in the United States Army for 11 years.  After leaving the Army, Mr. Tipsword went to work in the business sector as a Distribution Manager, Customer Service Manager and Finance Manager.  During this time, Mr. Tipsword earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

Subsequently, after years of co-parenting Mr. Tipsword chose to pursue a career in education during which time he taught High School Math and earned a Masters Degree in Education Intervention.  This opportunity allowed him to coordinate his schedule with that of his children, thus allowing them more time together.

Knowing his experience as a soldier, business man, teacher and single parent would prove useful in the field of family law, Mr. Tipsword decided to attend law school, graduating suma cum laude from Texas Southern University's Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

Prior to moving to Illinois, Mr. Tipsword was appointed by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner to serve as a City of Houston Municipal Court Adjudication Officer.

Mr. Tipsword is dedicated to provided top quality services to each and every client as well as the community.
